Welcome to the Wine Curmudgeon’s cheap wine poll 2017, the fifth annual. Voting ends at 5 p.m. central time on Dec. 13. I’ll post the results on Dec. 15. Vote for one brand only, and just one vote per person. Click on the respective buttons next to each entry at the bottom of this post. Share the poll with your friends and fellow cheap wine drinkers by clicking on any of the social media buttons at the end of the post. The first four polls attracted some 13,000 visitors. The winners: Falesco Vitiano in 2013, Bogle in 2014 and 2015, and McManis in 2016.
There are 10 producers again this year. I dropped Cupcake and Yellow Tail and added California’s Line 39 and Australia’s Yalumba Y Series.
Look into Josh cellars. I tried there Pinot Noir from Cost plus at $9.99. It was a very good Pinot for the price, I have tasted $30 Pinot’s of the same quality.

Availability drives a lot of the vote. Easier to find McManis in Texas than California.
Look into One Hope Wines out of Napa. Some places under $15 and good value for the money, plus each case sold from the winery proceeds are donated to different charities.
I am new to your blog not not to your passion. Given the choice, I would have voted for Seguras Viudas. But then I am a bubbly nut. Also love Gruet which cane be found for 11.99 in NewJersey where I drink.
The company that makes Segura makes Rene Barbier. And Segura is a huge favorite here, and in the $10 Hall of Fame.
